Mean, Median, Mode, Range Game – Math

This entertaining game is perfect for the Smartboard or students individual computer time to reinforce the concepts of mean, median, mode and range. The mean is an average of a set of numbers, the median is the middle number, the mode is the number that appears most frequently and the range is the difference between the lowest and highest value.

Directions: Press start to begin and hit the full screen button to make the game larger. A short clip will play defining mean, median, mode and range and then will stop for you to order a set a data and find the median. To order, drag and drop the “zooks” onto the correct platform, then drag and drop the word median over the actual median of this set of numbers. You will do this 3 times. Then, you will complete activities that have you find the mode, range and mean. Just follow the instructions on the screen. Play
